‘Emotions’ are the theme.

‘A conscious mental reaction (such as anger or fear) subjectively experienced as strong feeling usually directed toward a specific object and typically accompanied by physiological and behavioral changes in the body.’ – Definition of Emotion by Merriam Webster.

To me, ‘Emotion’ exists in every moment of life, even in dreams, sometimes it’s more than a specific feeling such as joy, anger, depression, it could be simple or complicated but just indescribable and you know it’s real.

I don’t know much about psychology or behavioral knowledges, but I am curious about what people think and how they feel or react to various surroundings or scenarios. And this is a main motive I do human figures photography, strictly speaking I can’t call them portraits, most of the photos were taken randomly without posing. Most of the people in these photos are strangers, I just ran into them in another street, another café or pub, just another place, you name it. It’s hard to tell what exactly the people in the photos were thinking at the moment of being captured by the lens, but they gave me quite a lot of space to imagine, and this is the best part I assume.

People’s facial expressions reflect what they think and moods.
And I like to capture those moments of happiness, sadness, tension or maybe nothing at all.
The following street photographs were taken on my way travelling the world.

In human history, liquor was invented later than music.
When liquor meets music, people's lives become more joyous or at least this magic mixture gives human emotions another outlet.
Pubs, nightclubs are heavens of music and liquor, happy land for most people to burn another inner self, to refresh, no matter who you are, what you do for a living.

Another street corner, another coffee shop, another place I left my footprints.
Maybe we're all ordinary people, but even so, we have reasons to believe that everyone is a diamond and could shine like a diamond.
